Acceptable Use Policy
What the platform may not be used for, and what happens when it is.
Version 2026-09-23
1. What the service must not be used for
Do not use the service, or let your users use it, to:
- break the law where you or your users are, or help someone else do so;
- generate, store or distribute material that sexually exploits or endangers children;
- plan, promote or carry out violence or terrorism, or develop biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological weapons;
- write or deploy malware, or attack, probe or disrupt systems you are not authorised to test;
- harass, threaten, dox or impersonate real people, or collect personal data about them without a lawful basis;
- defraud people, send spam, or pass off generated content as human-written where that deceives someone to their harm;
- infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
- get around a model's safety measures to produce any of the above.
2. Using the platform fairly
- Do not share, sell or resell access to your account or keys unless we have agreed to it in writing.
- Do not open several accounts to collect trial credit more than once, or to get around a rate limit, a spending limit or a suspension.
- Do not load-test the platform, or run security testing against it, without arranging it with us first.
- Do not try to identify, reach or reverse-engineer the providers behind the platform, or to extract model weights.
3. Model licences
Each open model comes with its own licence and, for some, its own use policy. They are linked from the model's page, and your use of that model must follow them as well as this policy.
4. If you serve your own users
You are responsible for your users' use of what you build. Keep your own terms and moderation in place, pass per-user identifiers in the user field where you can so abuse can be traced to one end user rather than your whole account, and meet the obligations that apply to AI services where you offer them — for example registration or filing, labelling generated content, and handling complaints.
5. What we do about misuse
We may refuse a request, disable a key, or suspend a project or account to stop misuse. Where we can we warn you first; where the alternative is ongoing harm we act first and tell you straight after, with what we saw and what needs to change. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities as the law requires.
Report abuse or a security issue to [Abuse reporting address — to be stated before these terms take effect].
